Most hi-res reviews online
Online Site Offering More Hi-Res Disc Reviews Than Any Other Publication
(For release Feb. 8, 2006) AUDIOPHILE AUDITION is an established music-oriented online web magazine at www.audaud.com catering to record collectors, audiophiles and home theater buffs. It began life nationally in 1985 as a one-hour weekly radio series carried on up to 200 outlets - both NPR and commercial stations. Eight years ago program host John Sunier - author of three books in the home electronics field - transitioned the program's website into an online publication, which is now updated many times weekly, and reaches 180,000 readers per month who purchase the recordings, AV components and loudspeakers reviewed on the site. AUDIOPHILE AUDITION covers a variety of music genres as well as video DVDs, and emphasizes Surround Sound for Music. It supports the progression of audio and video technologies toward higher resolution. Over 100 disc reviews from 20 writers are published monthly - split between hi-res formats and standard CD releases. Sections of the site include SACDs & DVD-As, DualDiscs, Classical, Pop/Rock, DVD Videos, Jazz, Reissues, Audio News, Component Reviews, and Features of the Month. Surround sound is well accepted by the general public for films, both in movie theaters and in the home. 36% of U.S. households now have surround sound components and speakers for playing Dolby or DTS soundtracks on video DVDs and 80% have at least one DVD player. AUDIOPHILE AUDITION's mission is to get consumers to make the leap from viewing movies with surround sound to sitting down to listen to music (without screen images) reproduced with the glorious enhancement of surround sound. AUDIOPHILE AUDITION seeks to educate the public about the two recent hi-res formats, which so far have shown only minimal sales. Most sales of SACDs and DVD-As take place online, so fans of the formats appreciate the prodigious number of reviews published on the site. The publication is joined in this effort by another online site covering both new formats, plus one covering only SACDs. However, AUDIOPHILE AUDITION has the highest rank and the most readers of the three. Another mission is to counteract iPod-type data-reduction compromises to high quality audio. AUDIOPHILE AUDITION supports and reviews hi-res formats such as SACD - which boasts 64 times the resolution of standard CDs and provides up to six channels instead of just two. The trend is toward AV technology which surpasses both the present popular though obsolescent CD and DVD formats, and AUDIOPHILE AUDITION serves sound buffs and collectors by staying in tune with this trend. AUDIOPHILE AUDITION - www.audaud.com & www.audiophileaudition.com - is a unique online publication for disc collectors, audio buffs and home theater enthusiasts. All genres of music recordings are reviewed, with an accent on hi-res and surround sound. |

This is a lie John, a big lie. I am afraid, You are betraying the people with false, manipulated informations. I do not believe You are not very well aware of that, what You say and nobody will believe, that You make it all that for free. You know, John, to have a 64 times higher resolution must You have 64 times and to make it in six channels instead of just two, again 3 times more data storing capacity. It means 192 times a CD. A DVD however has only 6 times more place, John. Where disappearing the rest 186 times the CD informations, John? You are the chief, John, You are responsible of the publications in Your magazine. As I see You do not fight lossy compressions generally, only iPod is Your target, am I right John? Is there no compression by multichannel, John? Is there any " the glorious enhancement of surround sound" meanwhile it is necessarily compressed with loss, even wide below the CD resolution, John? Do You want to make the next step with glorious sound, with the big creator of SACD Prof. Dr. Yamasaki together? He can already heal with his 1 bit sound, John! Show this report to Your readers, with pictures John, he is the new God of Sound and Mark Levinson is his Prophet! Just interview him John, he is on the Earth, in America, between you! His healing demonstrations can You see hear: http://www.stradivarisociety.com/News-JapanDVD.htm Pray to him, John, he is Your Messaias and You will see and inform us about his next glorious act, perhaps as he walk on the see... But John, do not expect, that anybody will take serious Your magazine, neither about technology nor music edition. If You decide not to report about it and continue to betray people is the worse choice, since the rest of Your readers will leave You. Good luck, John! -- Johann Spischak SDG, Spischak Digital GmbH +49-911-965-7319 http://sdg-master.com |
