Default bmw 330 amp installation issue -- help!


since the car battery is in the trunk, i grounded the amp straight to
the battery (bad idea?) .. the amp is connected to one sub (on the
right-side channel) .. there are NO rca or speaker inputs into the amp
at this point.. i noticed something weird, when i turn the gain to
about 1/2 - 3/4, the sub pulses in and out ... mind you, this is with
no audio input at all, so its gotta be something power/electrical,
right ?

thoughts on this one ? thanks !
