Default Orion amp?

Just bought a new car and want to upgrade the audio. Currently
considering Orion 8004 as the amp for my main speakers. Do they have
any repair issues? What other amps in the 75 - 100 watts into 4 ohms
range should I be considering?

Thank you for your time.

FYI - I use this amp for my front and rear midbass drivers. Very powerful.
I haven't come across any issues. There are a couple of unorthodox things
with this amp, but nothing too bad - first, the gain knobs seem to be quite
sensitive. I don't have the numbers in front of me, but it seems that
barely turning them up will bring me to max volume. Again, not a big deal,
but it makes fine adjustment a little tough. Second, the crossovers are
extensive, but for whatever reason I had to set the xover points to be the
same for all 4 channels since I wanted to bandpass them.

You can find the Soundstream Van gogh 320.4 amp for a great price now. Used to be around $600, now you can get them for around $200. It is a very solid heavy amp, 80 x 4 at 4 0hms 160 by 4 at 2 ohms rms at 12 volts. You will here from some people that Soundstream went downhill after they sold out, which is true for there low level amps made outside of the U.S. but there Tarantula series, xxx series, human reign, da vinci, and van goghs are all great, and all made in USA. I power 8 infinity kappas in my 4runner with one of these amps. Excellent clean, underrated power. and built like a tank. they also make it in a 125w by 4, model 500.4 van gogh. The only bad thing I can say about Soundstream is they can't write manuals worth a damn. Hope this gives you another option, you should look up all the specs as this amp does have alot of features others don't.

Can the crossovers be bypassed or turned off? Want to use this with
my front and rear main speakers, Will add another amp for the sub
later if I find I need one a sub.

Also want to get a component system for the fronts and a 6x9 for the
back in my PT Cruiser. What companies should I be looking at as far
as quality sound and solid well made speakers?

Thank you for your time.
