The unit will load and unload each disc, seemingly without trouble but
they will not spin up and play. The track information stays at zero,
as if an empty magazine has been inserted. Seems like the player does
not recognize that there is a disc in the tray. There is a brief
"pop" from the speakers as each disc is loaded. An older 5952 changer
works fine when plugged into the system.

i have a same problem..with my sony cdx-51 changer...cd does not spin.
if u get solution let me know..
