Default Remote Turn On - Low Voltage Trigger Problems

I was setting up my amp today, using a low voltage trigger (PAC TR-7)
off of one of the speaker wires that was running into the amp and
whenever I turn my volume close to halfway, the amp would shut off.

I removed the trigger and looped a remote lead to a constant 12v source
and it worked fine. The problem is definitely something with the
trigger or it's setup. I also tried to change the ground on the
trigger but no luck.

Not sure what my next step would be since I don't know if it is a bad
trigger, or something with the setup or what.

Ideas?
