I don't know if this has been posted here yet, but I was searching for
the whereabouts of my good friend and former session man John Fohl and
found this.... (John is a great guitar player btw and is currently with

That's quite a list. I wonder how it was derived. Anything about the
data gathering process on the web site where you found the list?

I found a few friends of mine on the list, and a few people I know who
I didn't even know were in New Orleans.

How about producer Daniel Lanois...I thought he lived and worked in New
Orleans also, but he might have re-settled since his heyday there in the
late 1980's ?

Not on the list, but heard that Alex Chilton made it out. Apparently
he had plenty of food and water but was growing weary of the roving
gangs:

I heard Bogalusa did not do too well, haven't heard about the studio
specifically.
