Default Arny slips through the net

Some time ago, I was sent a recording of a dreadful
Baptist choir, that had been made by Arny K.
It was also to be found on a TinyUrl, which has
long since disappeared.

There is no doubt whatsoever that this was a genuine
Arnold K recording. He and I discussed it on Usenet.

I gave the CD-RW to a colleague of mine. We both
regarded as a piece of audio trivia, and passed it down
the line.

My colleague, who teaches recorded arts at conservatory
level played it to his class at the end of a lecture. I am
told that one young lady student, a gifted cellist, ran out
from the auditorium in tears. She thought Arny's work
was some kind of cruel sacrilegious joke.

There are a number of people who would be interested
to hear it - so I am trying to locate the CD-RW
Meanwhile, if any subscriber to RAO can provide a
source, a copy, or a link to this exceptional recording,
or any other by this "fine professional" I would be pleased
to know about it.

Iain, much encouragement in your effort. It should be critically examined,
and critiqued. Although the ultimate verdict may be ridicule, it should be
obtained without lynching

it should be be delivered by bus

Iain desperately wants to lynch me.

I've recently tricked Iain into tacitly admitting that while the recording
company he draw a pension from has a digital console, they won't let him
touch it.

Generally if you're a retiree the company does not want to see you
around the facility. The first time you come out they'll politely
humor you, but if you show up very much they will soon start figuring
out how to send you away.

Bob. This situation has come about due to Arny's claim to be

a professional recording engineer, when it is well-known that he

is a volunteer (unpaid) worker at his non-conformist Church.

It should be critically examined, and critiqued.

I think a better idea would be for those of us who
are eagaged in recording to post material of a similar
genre to that which Arny chooses, for simple comparison
by his peers.

That's why I gave him the opportunity to take his
choice from classical symphony orchestra, baroque
or chamber orchestra, small ensemble, solo voice
with accompaniment, or even big band jazz.

Although the ultimate verdict may be ridicule, it should be obtained
without lynching

Not a word needs to be spoken, Bob.
Every recording speaks for itself.

Best regards
Iain

It very much depends upon the frequency and the time of their
visits. No-one really has the time for polite chit-chat when you
are in the middle of something that had to be finished yesterday.

But the occasional lunch with a former colleague can be
a pleasant way to help with their transition from full-time
working to retirement. It's a major change.

Indeed he did not. This is abundantly clear to anyone
with the possible exception of perhaps Arny himself,
whose "blind faith" and "recent trrickery" (see above)
allow him to believe in anything and everything that he
*wishes* to believe.

The facts are a totally different thing:-)

Discussion with Arny is always *so* rewarding.
he is such a *nice* Christian.

Um that would be *use* it, as in have other people set
it up and operate it for you.

Wow, sounds like Iain is pretty important.

Sounds like he's the sort of guy that people keep away from equipment
because of what he did with it in the past.

Let's compare royalties for the past five years :-)
Arny you are an idiot.

Those kinds of people are sometimes called "producers". Kind of ironic,
since they are pretty much unproductive.

You clearly do not have the faintest ideas about the roles
of the people involved in professional recording. I am sure
you would make a excellent classical music producer, Arny.
Tell us abou your musical qualifications.

Maybe you could have used assistants on that choir recording
monstrosity.

Um so you have heard it, eh Marc.

or Marc, are you commenting on something that you've never heard?

It's probably just a matter of time. I am fairly confident
the copy I passed down the line will be found. I shall
put a snippet up on a music conservatory site. Then,
predictably, Arny will switch into his Judas Iscariot mode,
deny that this recording is his work and blame it all on
poor old George Middius :-)

Iain

No. That would be "use" in the widest possible sense,
clearly understood by everyone except yourself.

Iain-

You mean, such as in Arny "uses" the toilet.
