wrote: Please boil your head in a vat of acid. Now, that's an intelligent response! Very insightful. Glad to be back in seventh grade again. If you're offended to be given the same posted answer as Phil Allison, you should perhaps consider *why* it was phrased that way. Good fortune, you'll need it, 'Nite kids; this is too bathetic, Chris Hornbeck |

Slew Rate Measurement Rise Time

wrote: um... Phil said that slewing in an amp can be shown to affect a sine wave by turning it into a triangle... actually the triangle is a slope representing the rise time of the amp, ** No way ! Rise time is a TIME interval !! Slew rate is a RATE of voltage change. RATE of change over a certain TIME period... as in 1 volt per microsecond... ** Read what YOU wrote ! " actually the triangle is a slope representing the rise time of the amp," is completely WRONG. ......... Phil Yes Phil I agree I used improper words, I should have said "representing the slew rate of" instead of "rise time of" ... to me an amp rises to a certain voltage in a certain time when it is slewing but you make a distinction between the low level linear small signal rise and the large signal ramp up. I'm sorry, OK? |
