"flashing" the gain on a power amplifier question
We have an Alesis Matica power amp used for non-critical listening in a
computer lab environment. It exhibits the following problem: every once in a while the left side goes out and will come back only if you quickly crank the left side gain knob. It's like it needs to be "blown" out, kind of like the "italian tuneup" for cars. What causes this and how can it be fixed? By the way - everything else in the signal chain has been swapped and ruled out as problematic. Thanks, Dan Fox Zumix, Inc |
