I want to get my 92 honda civic lx a muffler tip to make it purr.
However, the only option so far is to buy a universal tip and get it
welded on. Is this a good idea. The reason I have to get it welded
on is because my stock tip is a pee shoooter and is very small. I dont
want to put out a lot of money for a whole new system but I want the
wone is lower dramatically and this is the way to go. Good idead or
no?

You may want rec.auto.tech for tips on how to make your car sound
completely assinine and greatly increase your interior noise so you
have to turn the stereo up even louder and damage your hearing
irrepairably before you become old enough to legally drink.

Add a big non performance enhancing wing to your trunk for maximum
effect. Maybe some logos for the windshield.

Come on, all the other kids are doin it, and that must mean it's KEWL!

I suggest you look at the person who posted an AUTO question in an AUDIO
forum, who either didn't read or can't spell, before you go on calling
anyone a fool.
For the record, changing the sound of your car by adding custom muffler tips
and resonators makes you obnoxious to anyone you drive by, and has
absolutely no performance enhancing value. By the definition of 'ricer'
that we all make fun of and see as useless, that¹s EXACTLY what you're doing
to your car.
