Default Help with sub wiring and ohm loads. Also, anyone have a 12" Kicker Comp for sale?

Hey everyone.

I just received a new sub box for two 12" subs (Previously I was using
just a single 12")

I have one 12" Kicker comp sub (4 ohm), and two really old 12" RF
Punches (both 8 ohm and I'm not sure if they are DVC's or not).

I prefer to use Kicker subs for this box. It's a sealed box by the
way. Not sure how the RF punches sound in it.

My question:

If I got an 8-ohm Kicker sub,and ran it with my current 4-ohm Kicker
sub, parallel bridged to my amp (a Lightning Audio S4.600 4-channel)
would that be a 3 ohm mono load?

I'd really rather have a 4 ohm mono load but my kicker sub is a 4 ohm
sub, so I believe another 4 ohm sub would be a 2 ohm mono load on the
amp.

I wonder if a 3 ohm mono load would be alright for this particular
amp.

Also, anyone happen to have a 12" Kicker comp C12 sub for sale?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. You may email me at

Thanks in advance

an 8 ohm and 4 ohm load in parallel will equate to a 2.66 ohm load. This
also means that twice the power will be going to the 4 ohm sub in
relationship to the 8 ohm sub.

you are better off getting another 4 ohm. Check out jl audios website.
They have wiring info and what the total ohms equal in different
combos. You can hook up two 4 ohms dvc and end up with 4 ohms still.
Its on the site
