Default Arnii Krooborg missed his calling

Why doesn't praying ever seem to work? The Krooborg can answer that as well
as any human being can. It's because Western civilization is torn between
the worship of imaginary gods and the pursuit of absolute truth through
science.

On second thought, the Krooborg couldn't possibly answer that question.
That's because the poor, dumb Beast doesn't understand the difference
between science and religion. It thinks they are one and the same thing.
Rational humans know that they are entirely incompatible and utterly
irrelevant to one another.

Identifying the "purpose" of organized religion is a fertile field for the
"debating trade". In what other area of human effort is conflating cause
and effect considered a positive attribute? Only in Big Religion and the
"debating trade", and nowhere else. The purpose of science, however, is
clear and precise: Discovering truth. Truth is also called knowledge, but
they are not really the same thing. The quality of knowledge depends on the
ability of an individual to understand truth. Whereas truth itself exists
independently of any mere mortal's ability to comprehend it.

Which brings me to Arnii Krooborg's missed calling: He should have become a
minister in the Christian Science church. Not because their dogma is more
farfetched and fantastical than that of the Baptists. Nor because their
very name is an oxymoron and thus a beacon for "debating trade" warriors.
No, the overarching attraction for the likes of Arnii Krooborg is their
refusal to use real science in their daily lives.

The Christian Scientists pretend their religion's simplicity is an asset.

Christian Science is believed by its supporters to be a
system of spiritually scientific truths that are summed up
in the two commandments: having one God, one Mind,
one Life, Truth, and Love; and loving your neighbor
as yourself.

From there these loonies go on to early death because they won't take the
cures offered by science. But not to worry -- it's all "God"'s plan:

Christian Scientists point to Jesus's teaching that his
followers would do "greater works" than he did (John
14:12) and that a person who lived in conformity with
his teachings would not be subject even to death.
[ibid.]

Sounds silly, but if you choose to disbelieve reality in all its forms,
maybe it's not silly to you at all.

Arnii Krooborg needs to consider these tenets of Christian Scientism
carefully. How wonderful it would be to believe in an afterlife that is a
continuation of the pointless tail-chasing existence of "debating trade"
warriors. Right, Turdy?

**Because anyone with a miniscule ability to comprehend any science
whatsoever, can instantly see that religion (involving the supernatural) is
bunk. That Mr Krueger still clings to such childish beliefs confirms his
inability to deal with real science. The really tragic result of these naive
idiots who cling to such beliefs, was the ascendency to President by George
W Bush - a man who is clearly unsuited to the position. He has, thus far,
managed to critically damage the US economy, through mismanagement (a trait
he shares with the late Ronald Reagan), severely damage the prospects of the
US military to recruit new people, cause the needless deaths and injury of
thousands of US service people and damage the reputation of the US
throughout the world. All caused by religious idiots, who voted the way they
were instructed to.

Well well well. I hadn't thought of that.

Hmmm, let's see, the godly voices
are telling me to vote for the Democrat, the man who has
been faithful to his wife, even if he
he doesn't understand economics and foreign
affairs. Actually, I might just do that.
