I just got am email from Vegoose Merchandising for some charity thing.

The link has a picture of what may be the main stage:

http://tours.360photographics.com/project/show/13/134

It looks like they have 2 big arrays of JBL Vertec Speakers and 2 small
arrays.

Those are very good speakers any they may be loud enough
but there does not seem to be enough of them to produce a
good quality impressive sound.

Overstreched sound systems are annoying.

Is that right?

..

So what are they reproducing?

If it's a singer-songwriter with a polite and quiet audience, the PA
system required is somewhat less than a full-up stadium rock band.

With bands such as the Black Crowes and Tom Petty it's far from
singer-songwriter. And the people in the crowd don't look like a polite and
quiet opera bunch.

Those look like 20 box main hangs. That's a good amount of PA. As long
as there are adequate subs on the ground, it should work ok. Line
arrays can look deceptively small for what they can throw. You can't
tell by the picture if the rig was adequate or not. You'd have to hear
it.

Is that a 421 he's using? I like the white cable on the white mic. Very
alternative.

I just threw up.
Might be a little weak sound around the ferris wheel. I hate ferris wheels.

Great band.

The Magic Numbers

Eeeeeek. VERY dodgy vocal harmonies when I heard them sing live on TV
recently.
