Default Adding auxiliary input jack to existing crappy old stereo

Just wondering if there is a relatively painless and cheap way to add
an auxiliary input jack to an existing car stereo, short of installing
a new head unit.

Thanks for any advice. I suspect it would not be worth the trouble.
