Obsolete Op Amp
Can anybody please help.
I'm about to referbish a B&K precision sound level meter/analyser. I have circuit details but need to source some spare op amps The AD 3259 is what I need but I've had no luck in finding any or even data sheets. Can anybody help please. Contact me through my website Thanks mike www.mikewestgatesound.co.nz |

Contact me through my website Thanks mike www.mikewestgatesound.co.nz A few places in HongKong claim to still have some according to a simple Google search. OTOH, if they are that old you'd likely have a hard time trying to find a modern replacement that wasn't better in nearly every spec. |

Obsolete Op Amp
Thanks Richard.
I've contacted a lot of suppliers in the US with no positives. I've just signed up to a supply sight in HK and placed an enquiry/order. I'm sure there are more modern op amps but without any data sheets it's not straight forward to guess an appropriate replacement. Regards Mike |

Op-amps are relatively simple and straightforward devices with standardized inputs and outputs. A quick look at the circuit topology will reveal which are the + and - inputs and the output, etc. |

I've found OP amps which are very low power, or have some other peculiar characteristics, which are difficult to substitute for. Always best to have ALL the data first. -- Trevor Wilson www.rageaudio.com.au -- Posted via a free Usenet account from http://www.teranews.com |
