Most Passkey bypasses systems use a variable resistor to simulate the
resistor built into the ignition cylinder. If your module required you to adjust it to match the OEM value, you may be CLOSE, but not right on the resistance. When the value isn't the 'same', in-car temperature can affect the reliability of the bypass... David UnderTheDash.com "Jeff Weaver" wrote in message . .. Where do you have the bypass grounded? It is best to ground it on th
passlock ground of the vehical(either a black wire or an orange wit black stripe). I use DEI for remote start, so I don't know about th part you have. Does it code itself automatically, or do you need t set the resistance yourself? If you set it, are you sure you ar within 5% - skyhaw ----------------------------------------------------------------------- CarAudioForum.com - Usenet Gateway w/over one million posts online View this thread: http://www.caraudioforum.com/showthr...threadid=16761 |

I have to set the unit manually and unfortunatly I'm limited to the value i
can set. I'll have to check tho to see if i'm within the 5% range. I may have to see if there are other units availiable. Does DEI make a bypass? As for grounding I've got it grounded to the metal under the steering column. I will try your advice. Thanks! "skyhawk" wrote in message s.com... Where do you have the bypass grounded?
