Has anybody wondered why Doofy suddenly lurched into view on RAO after
his latest long absence? I figured out what happened. Arnii has been
calling to him.

That must be their secret signal, sort of a nerd/'borg/feeb version of
the Bat Signal. When Krooger starts feeling stressed, he lows for
Doofy to waddle in and distract Krooger's tormentors.

It's never easy to guess what may have triggered Krooger's latest
wig-out. That's because the amount of external stress on the Beast
doesn't vary nearly as much as its internal torments. On any given
day, Mr. **** might be feeling typically smug and self-satisfied, and
an hour later -- poof! the psychosis melts a little, and reality
creeps in.

Sometimes it takes Doofy a while to respond. Is that because his
adoration of Krooger has waned over time? Or is it because the other
members of the Pitiable Krooger Rescue Society have deserted him.
Probably Doofy needs to get started on recruiting Lionella into his
little volunteers' circle.

It's striking how much Krooger and Doofy have in common, as sickening
as that might be. They're both drug addicts (Krooger with booze and
Doofy with cigars and pills). They're both wife beaters. They're both
communists. They both live and breathe the JEE-zus dogma. They both
hate having to face the real world of diversity and ambiguity. And, of
course, they both believe they have a god-given right to bully others
with no repercussions.

So into RAO clomps the Doof, hoping to distract the Normals from
inflicting more psychic damage on Mr. ****. It won't work, of course
-- never does. Krooger has his AutoLiarModule fully powered and
engaged. Of the 200 or more lies he's uttered since he sounded the
klaxon for Doofy, he has retracted none. Of the 500+ misstatements of
fact that are not obviously lies but could be simple mistakes, he has
retracted only one. In other words, par for the Kroo-kourse.
