Default Basic Problem with Lexicon Omega

I've just bought a Lexicon Omega box for recording guitar, and this
uses Cubase LE. The problem I have is the guitar I recorded only played
back into the right
speaker. Not sure if this is a problem with the Lexicon or how I'm
using Cubase.

My guitar was plugged into the Instrument jack, headphones in the
headphone output. I used the Line 3 knob to adjust the level, and could
see the signal flickering on the front of the Lexicon box. The USB
Assign button (between Line 3 and Line 4 knobs) was set to 1-2, and the
Stereo/Mono button was set to mono. I've not touched the Meter Assign
button - maybe this is the problem? The manual has not told me to touch
this though.

All looks fine in Cubase, and I can see the guitar signal as I record.
When I play back (through the headphones) I can only hear sound in my
right ear. The pan setting for the track is in the middle.

Any help greatly appreciated!

Martin.
