Default Bose headphones and cordless telephones

I just discovered, by happenstance, that a 2.4GHz cordless phone, if
brought within about 5 feet of a set of Bose noise-cancelling
headphones, will produce a rhythmic "beep" in the left earpiece.

I was relieved to discover that it was not a defect in the headphones
themselves, which I have found to be quite good.

Best,

Bob
