LECTU CES REPORT: SMWTMS Members who attended will report on the
significant products and events at the CES.

LECTU NTSC, a Technical Review on the Eve of its Replacement with ATSC.
David Carlstrom presents a retrospective, with demonstrations, of the
strengths and weaknesses of the most used and most maligned television
standard. David will also show his first steps toward using ATSC.

SIDESHOW: Working Heathkit WA-P2 mono pre-amp with power amp and speaker.
This helps answer a question from Dave Hill on the history of the RIAA
record playback curve. This Heathkit has an adjustable phono equalizer for
recordings that predate the RIAA curve. If you are interested, bring
pre-1953 recordings for testing.
