Upgrading to SACD
I have a high-end two channel system with Levinson electronics (380S
preamp, 334 poweramp)with Martin-Logan ReQuest speakers, and I'm considering switching to SACD. Does someone make a multi-channel processor that I could add? (along with an additional and speakers, I realize!) Thank you. |

They range from the superb-but-discontinued Sony P9000ES and up through the McIntosh and BelCanto units. Feed the SACD player to the MCH controller and its L/R outputs to the HT bypass (or other calibrated) input on the 380s. The other outputs should go to the new center, surround and sub and their associated speakers. Kal |

The other 1% will just give you the front L/R of the surround track or (depending on the hardware) down convert the 5.1 to stereo. Music in 5.1 doesn't thrill me, but I have to admit that "Dark Side of the Moon" in 5.1 was kinda nifty. |
