Default QUESTION: How much did mmdir2002 spend on his stereo?

Was it $200? $300? $400 even?

I'm still not clear!

You guys should not be making fun of him like this. I am very impressed
by him. I've been involved with many "gifted" people over the years and
it is very difficult for most of them to speak well and it is even
harder for them to learn to access the internet and to type somewhat
coherent thoughts.

I'm just kidding. The little retard is hilarious.

Pat Healy: I work with retards.

Mary: Isn't that a little politically incorrect?

Pat Healy: Yeah, maybe, but hell, no one's gonna tell me who I can and
can't work with.

I feel like we're performing a valuable and important public service by
making fun of him because as someone else pointed out (was it you Mark?)
someday when we've all used "blocked sender" on him and forgotten about him,
some poor shmuck is actually going to take his advice and catch his car on
fire. The public must be warned!

I said $100. Here is how I put my system.

Pair of 6x9" rear 200W speaker and boom box = $40
400W 2 channels crunch amplifier = $30
60W AM/FM CD Dash = $30
Pair of 7" front 130W speakesr = free
---------------------------------------------------------
Total = $100

PS: CD dash and front speakers are used one.

If I had such a rockin' system I'd post it twice in every thread.
Actually, I did have that system. Back in 1988 when I was 16.

OK, what about the wiring? Unless you got it free, that put you over $100.
So you've been lying!

Don't be too sure....

Remember that thread about hooking an amp directly to the battery (mmdir
said not to do it) and folks wrote in seriously questioning why they
shouldn't make a direct battery connection?

MOSFET, I did all the wiring myself. It's way too easy. I don't believe
the
stuff from car stereo guy telling me. They just wanted to sell me thing
I don't need it. Who wants buy a EQ for $100 which has no built in amp?
I also do not need a capacitor. And I also do not need a subwoofer cuz
I
don't listen to HipHop.

Ok, Jazz sounds great with a sub. Country, also great with a sub. Classical,
some of that too is great with a sub. Sorry that the misnomer of "rap is the
only music for a sub" has penetrated your fragile little mind...

Are you telling us that the kind of music you listen to doesn't contain
frequency components less than about 80Hz? What kind of music is this?

HipHop music and today commerical music have too low bass sound.
I do notice few of songs I play in my system not belong to HipHop does
contain so low bass frequence that my speaker can't handle.

Some people like to be able to reproduce these "low bass frequencies", even
if they're not listening to hip hop. That's why people buy a subwoofer.

Ever been in a room with an acoustic kick drum or sat in a concert hall when
they primed that 'ol concert bass and gave it whack. That concert bass goes
lower than most subs, unless you consider todays commercial music from the
17th century!

Sparkomatic! Man, I remember my first car, a 79 Honda Civic. I bought one of
those Sparkomatics and installed in a little cubby under the stereo. That
sucker had one huge button on the front and that was all. Wow... and instant
what, 100watts? LOL

By the way, the Spark-o-Matic is also what ended up sparking the fire that
killed the car. Guess I should have let mmdir2002 do my wiring....

Geeze, what was that, 23 years ago?
