Default Kenwood KFC-6889ie ?

Does anyone have any thoughts about these speakers as a replacement for the
stock speakers in my Ford F-150? I cannot find any reviews online anywhere.

I'm planning on ordering two sets of these and wanted some input, positive
or negative. My head unit is a Kenwood KDC-MP228, without any external amps
(yet).

Thanks,
Charles

I replaced my F150 speakers with Pioneer TS-A6870R's. I'm kind of a Pioneer
nut but I was open to all options being I was looking for the best sound
fill. I went to a few local car audio "shops" and had the sales vulture flip
between all the 6X8's that were displayed at each place. I listened to every
manufacturer that makes 6X8's and the Pioneers by far sounded better and had
more clarity than any of the other even more expensive "higher end" brands.
The Pioneers were over $100 at all the "shops" but I went down to Wal-Mart
and got the EXACT same ones that were on display at the "shops" for a third
of the cost. In less than 5 min. I had them installed and my system sounded
a heck of a lot better than those 5W stockers. Then again so would

I'll take it then that anything above stock will be make a noticable
difference. :-)

Since no-one had anything to say about these, I purchased two sets of them
and just waiting now until they arrive. I went with these because they state
that they're 92db, and since I'm going to be running them on just the head
unit alone, everything that I read seemed to make me believe that this would
be best.

Thanks for your input,
Charles
