Clifford Alarm Installer in Eastern Michigan?
I have a Clifford 7000 alarm system installed in my car that has a
battery backup siren. Recently, I no longer get the validation chirp from the siren when engaging the alarm system. The siren will still sound if the alarm is triggered. My original installer in California who is very knowledgable and is a reputable installer, told me that its most likely a bad battery-backup siren, not a wiring or alarm module problem, as the battery-backup sirens are prone to fail in this way over time (my alarm is over 4 years old). So now I am trying to find a local dealer near Ann Arbor, michigan (my new residence) who will find and replace the siren with a new one. I used Clifford's website to find a list of local dealers. After calling all of them, some were very reluctant to consider the repair job, some said they dont do repairs, a couple were out of business and Best Buy told me to call Clifford, where Clifford then told me to call a dealer. So after all of this frustration, I am hoping someone can recommend a quality installer in Eastern Michigan who could order a replacement siren (Clifford said they wont sell direct to me), find the siren (should be relatively easy) and can replace the defective siren. |
