It appears larger than a Countryman B6.

Yeah, okay--it's smaller than all sorts of electrets. But I get the

It is, and it's polarized with greater than the phantom voltage, so it
has a real DC-DC converter inside. Also, it has a real pattern and
looks enough like a mic so that you can point is at the source.

Really cute, about the size of a lipstick tube, including the
mini-XLR connector.

Thanks--just checked the posts there and found several "yeah, they work
good for drums" replies. I think I'll call Audix and see if they have
some other references.
