RCA Inputs on VCR/DVD Fried?
While plugging my camcorder into the front of my VCR/DVD the insulated
wire picked up static off the front of the TV screen and at the same time a spark jumped from the wire connector to the input jack. Now Video does not work, sound does. Can't recall for certain, but I think it's safe to assume I was plugging in the video connector. Has anyone ever come across this? It's a JVC VCR/DVD. Assuming there is a fuse, how do I identify it, fix it? Please help if you can. Thanks. Jim |

It is likely the video comes frome a surface mount IC in the camera or the input on the VCR. Use another video source to find where the fault lies. This is one thing an LCD TV won't have - Static! : ) John |
