Default 6V6 to EL34 adaptor socket


You anyone know where I might find something this this.

If pin 1 is connected to ground just disconnect it and connect is
to pin 8 . Schould work for 6V6 and EL34 after that .
Now you just need to check the bias if you plug in EL34 .

You also might want to make sure your filament winding can handle the
EL34's. I think they draw roughly twice as much as a 6V6. *IIRC*,6V6's
are about .9A for the fils,and EL34's are 1.9A)

0,45A and 1,2A for 6V6 and EL34, respectively.. (not positive on the EL34..

Ah !! EL84 is pretty close to 6V6 so that might work !! But always check the
bias !!
Even if you use new 6V6's and the amp uses fixed bias ......

An adaptor can easily be made of a broken octal tube . Remove the base and
put
a noval socket into this base .

Get yourself some THD yellowjackets. They seem to be popular. Perhaps LV
sells them.
