Default Focusrite Red 3 help

Hello,

I am renting a Focusrite Red 3 compressor and have never used one before. It
will be being used on the mix buss and I'm wondering if anyone has any
suggestions for starting settings on this box or insight into it's
idiosyncrasies. Thanks very much.

Default Focusrite Red 3 help

I owned one for about 6 months. I liked the "auto" button settings. I
contacted focusrite to recreate this with manual settings. They said
I couldn't be done, it was a special set up. I never developed a
fondness for unit beyond that setting. So, not versatile enough for
me. I suggest you start with "auto", I never found it to be less
transparent or smoother than that.

Good luck.
