I'm considering changing to a different setup. Currently, I use a
"Soundblaster MP3" with an optical output going to an external DAC. The
problem with this setup is that the analog auxiliary input of the
soundblaster does not work when the output is optical.

So my question is: can anybody recommend a good USB device that has a line
in as well as a quality analog output? I'll make up for the potential cost
difference by selling the DAC and using just the USB sound device in its
place.

A key requirement is that it MUST be powered from the USB port alone.

Any suggestions?
