Running monitors to use as computer speakers?
Hi group, thanks for your patience with me.
I purchased the Soundsticks thinking I could play my Pro Tool music through them. Now that I know I can't I have several options. 1. Keep the Soundsticks and purchase new monitors specifically for Pro Tools. 2. Use my headphones and save the files as waves or aiff, then run them through the soundsticks since they will be played on I Tunes. I am going to use some of my music on the web anyway, so this is not far fetched. 3. Bring back my soundsticks and purchase the monitors for the 001 box. This brings up a new question. (surprise surprise)!!!! Since I am listening to my music through I Tunes in OS X jaquar, can I download I Tunes for OS 9, run it in the background while I'm working on something else in OS X, and have the music come out of the 001 box through the monitors? Thanks for your help and patience. |

Keep the Soundsticks and purchase new monitors specifically for Pro Tools. I would personally do this, if only because I would want a substantially better quality monitor personally. 2. Use my headphones and save the files as waves or aiff, then run them through the soundsticks since they will be played on I Tunes. I am going to use some of my music on the web anyway, so this is not far fetched. This seems like a major pain in the neck to me. 3. No, in order to run Pro Tools, you have to be actually running OS 9, you cannot use the compatibility mode. You have to be running OS 9. --scott -- "C'est un Nagra.
