Default mazda protege 5 head unit cd changer pinout

Hi all,
I have spent some time recently looking into whether it would be
possible to plug a line level signal into the standard stereo i have in
the car (for an iPod). I found a few articles that were encouraging,
but didn't apply to my head unit. So i pulled the stereo out last night
and did a small amount of disassembly, but didn't see any pin labels on
the PCB anywhere. So I was wondering if anyone had taken this further
than I did and found which pin is which.
The head unit I have is a AM/FM radio with a CD player. As for serial
numbers/markings, the number 1165 is printed above the top right corner
of the display, and FF011029 is stamped into the heatsink on the back
of the unit.
Any info would be much appreciated, and I'd happily put a simple web
page up for others were I to get it working.
Thanks,
Ian
