Line Noise with XM2Go
I'm getting really bad line noise when using the cigarette adapter. I'm thinking about putting the power converter directly in-line with the fuse box or battery. Is there a better power converter to use (5v, 2000mh) and/or is there a good line filter to take out the interference & noise? |

It's a ground loop between the power adaptor and the audio cable's shield. There's no wiring track that you can do to get rid of it. You need either an isolated power adaptor or a set of ground loop isolation audio transformers. |

Would one of these work? http://www.pac-audio.com/products/electronicfilters.htm "Kevin McMurtrie" wrote in message ... You could filter the car's power to perfection but you'd still get digital noise from the MP3 player itself. You need to break that electrical path using an isolated power supply or an audio isolation transformer set. http://www.crutchfield.com/S-46kAE8R...sp?g=181150&I= 127SNI1 http://www.crutchfield.com/S-46kAE8R...sp?g=181150&I= 127SNI135 "Kevin McMurtrie" wrote in message ...
