I'm thinking about buying a new HU with an add-on iPod interface that lets
you control the iPod and display song titles, etc. Of all the manufacturers
that offer these (Pioneer, Alpine, Clarion, etc.), what would be a good
choice? I want the user interface to be as easy and quick to navigate as
possible.

Yeah, the Alpine is already out. But here's an example of a review I found

The problem is searching for music. It's SLOWWWWW. It's made me appreciate
how great the Ipod touchpad really is. Imagine if you had to scroll thru
20GB of music on your Ipod with a button. You'd be pushing it for days. And
even tho the head unit uses a dial, it's that slow. If you have more than 50
artists, you'll go insane using this thing.

I don't think there are other brands that have that much integrated
support. Many have AUX in ports, but thats cumbersome.

Looks like there are at least four different options out the

Alpine KCA-420i
Pioneer CD-iB100
Clarion CCA-649
Kenwood KCA-iP500

I think I'm gonna give the Pioneer a try since it looks like I can use it
with my existing HU.

I thought you meant a HU with the interface built in. My bad.
