Hi,

I just got a used CDX-4180 with harness but would love to have the
installation guide for it. I found the owner's guide on sony's website,
but not the install guide.

What I really need is the pin out of the 16 pin connector on the unit.
I have the harness but it seems to be shy a few wires. It has the rear
channel positive leads, but no negative leads. Is this on purpose?

It should have 8 speaker wires : starting on the far speaker side. the
positives are on the top(clip side)
White: LF+
White/Black: LF-
Green : LR+
Green/Black : LR-
Purple :RR+
Purple/Black: RR-
Grey : RF+
Grey/Black :RF-

then next to the grey on top is amp remote, then antenna remote, then Acc
power, then Ground
Below ground is Battery (constant) power and

Thanks for the help. It looks like I have an incomplete harness. It is
missing the rear negative leads.

I sell OEM Sony harnesses on eBay if you need one

It also has the leads in different positions than what you describe
here and in your auction.

I sounds like it's not the correct harness for that deck
