Default Studio Window Glass

I just bought a house with a 2 room basement. I am in the process of converting it into musical space and have this wall between the rooms stripped down to the studs.

I would like to put a small window between the rooms and frankly, haven't any idea what type of glass is appropriate for this type of application. I have a glass company doing other window upgrades and they weren't much help but I bet they could source a glass product for this application.

Can anyone suggest what type of glass is best for this application? The glass company suggested double paned laminate but I would like to hear from professionals.
