Default Kenwood KDC-x717 CD problem

It normally turns the faceplate out when I start the car and turns it back
when I turn off the engine. Recently, the faceplate is able to come out but
after few seconds, it will go back automatically. Sometimes it is stuck in
the half way back.

I took it out and couldn't find any connection problems. The manual says
the fuse may be blown. If this is true, there should be a short circuit
inside the CD.

Has anybody gotten the same problem before? If it is the fuse problem, need
I do something else after change a new fuse?

Most of the time when I've seen that problem it is the ribbon cable that
connects the flip-face to the main PC board.
Over time (usually about 1 to 1-1/2 years) the cable gets breaks in it from
bending back and forth.
