Default RCA transmitter station

Hi,

This is my 1st post here. I bought an MI-31739-B CC-8A2 RCA
transmitter with a "meatball" microphone attached. It needs some TLC,
for sure. Im trying to determine if the unit could be used as a decent
preamp. If not, its just going to look cool in the studio. Obviously
the front end is a mic pre, but the outs are marked tele. There is
also a line level. Im not sure if its an in or an out. Any thoughts?
