Line level matching q?
what should I purchase to match my levels between preamps and amps. I
have a mix of gear including some older stuff. I have an older Crown PSA-2 with a 2.1V input for max gain : my pre is only pushing around ..8V . Is there some box I can boost my level ( rca or xlr - both would be best ). Alternatively is there a way to change the PSA-2's level by opening the box and changing something? thanks all Craig. |

Most other large audio companies have one hidden in the catalogue somewhere. They are specifically designed for matching consumer and professional levels. I do not think there are any straps on the PSA-2. But then again, the PSA-2 still has an awful lot of gain. Have you tried it, and do you really need more? --scott -- "C'est un Nagra. Ok - I did a search ( duhhh ! ) and have a reasonable idea what to do.
I will get something like this: CleanBox 1 : http://www.audiomidi.com/common/cfm...t.cfm?pid=3301# My other question is still valid though. Does anyone know the Crown PSA-2 well enough to know if there is a jumper or something to set the input levels? thx craig |
