Would it be best to buy a sub in South Africa or import it from the USA? I
can't seem to find any prices in South Africa that is competitive with USA

I live in New Zealand and it has been the same for me. Its crazy but even
considering shipping costs of up to $US50, its still cheaper! I've been
looking at HUs and components speaker systems, but I a sub would cost a lot
more, but perhaps SA is a bit closer to the States than NZ? Although if you
go East from NZ you get to the States across the International Date Line
fairly promptly...
BTW nice game of rugby last weekend :-)
