Default Difference between Pioneer DEH-P7500MP and Pioneer DEH-P750MP (Premier)

First, sorry for my English. The question is, what is the difference, if
any, between this two models?

Look on Pioneer's website.

Usually, the Premier versions simply have higher voltage from their pre-amp
outputs and gold plated connectors. I've heard that there are some minor
internal differences, but I've never been able to get a definitive answer on
what those differences are, or if they even actually exist. I like Pioneer's
product, and was seriously consdiering the 9400 and Premier 940 variant myself.
But in all honesty, the Premier versions seem like a rip-off. I'd reccomend
either going with the non-Premier version, or stepping up either to a better
non-Premier deck, or into a better unit from Alpine or Eclipse.

Thanks for the reply's. It seems that both units are technically the same,
and I can get either or for basically the same price. Maybe the difference
is in the warranty.

Why? It's only about a $30 difference between a Pioneer and Premier. The
extra preamp voltage is good to have. I wouldn't mind the extra year on the
warranty either.

I'd go with an Alpine. I've owned all three brands and the Alpine was the
best sounding by far. Some people will complain about the Chinese
manufactured Alpines but I put a 9815 in my wife's car and it sounds
awesome.

Basically I would say they are the same, but to me the the few little features
and the added one year warranty are worth it to me.

The premier versions use matched componenets (in some cases) and tighter
specs all in the engineering hopes of giving you better, cleaner sound.

I think the price difference changes drastically dpending on the decks you're
comparing. When I was looking, the 9400 was being sold for around $550, while
dealers wanted between $700 and $800 for the Premier 940 version. My Eclipse
cost under $600, has 8 volt pre-outs, a 24-bit DAC, and Eclipse will replace it
for free if it's stolen inside the first year I own it.

I tested the 9815 (it was my main consideration from Alpine) aganist my Eclipse
CD8443 and couldn't identify much, if any difference in sound quality between
the two. However, they both sounded better to me than the Pioneer. I looked
into Blaupunkt's "Skyline" San Francisco CD72, but never actually heard it..

If the dealer installs it correct? I don't know why they won't cover it if
it's user installed.

I noticed a pretty dramatic difference in the midbass and bass area.
Everything else was the about even. I was using a 55430.

OMG yeah! I'd forgtten how much I didn't really care for the sound of my
740MP when I first gotten it. I guess I just got used to it.

There's something about the way thay sound that leaves me flat. I can't
quite out my finger on it though.

Yea, the warranty is contingent on the fact that the deck is purchased from and
installed by a dealer. I guess it's simply to prevent Joe Schmo from damaging
the deck during a self-install and then trying to claim it as a warranty issue
in order to get a replcement.

Without any EQ adjustments, the 9815 and CD8443 sounded about the same to me. I
can't remember hearing any differences at all, at least nothing that stood out.
I also disliked the 9815's user interface, which put me off.

I switched back and forth between the 940MP and my Eclipse and found that the
Pioneer came off as sounding a lot warmer and lacking a lot of detail by
comparison. I've also found that Sony's Xplod amps seem to heavily color the
sound with an unwanted "warmth" that seems to wring out much of the high freq.
detail. Warmth, such as from a high end tube amp can be a good thing, as long
as you aren't sacrificing that detail.

The Blaupunkt decks I've heard have always sounded good, but not as good as
stuff from Alpine or Eclipse.
