Default Problems with my kenwood reciever

Hi.
My kenwood reciever WILL NOT ustilize my sub. I love Bass!!! I need
it!! I test the sub and it works but when I try to listen to music on
any of the inputs or even the radio, the sub will not work. For about
6 months it was hooked up to a sony reciever. anyone know if that has
anything to do with it?
If not, does ANYONE know what I can do to relieve my problem short of
getting a new reciever and/or sub? Thanks a lot!

Many modern surround receivers must have the speaker arrangement and/or
crossover frequencies set up before the sub output will be activated.
Consult your owners' manual.

Of course there could be a bad solder connection at a 5.1 input or a sub out
RCA jack, if yours uses one, surely many other possibilities as well.
Perhaps if you post a model number someone familiar with your exact model
will respond with more info.

Good luck.
