Upgrades for Mac 2105?
I have a Mac 2105 that works very nicely, but it being an aged beast, I
was wondering if there were anything I could to make it sound better (replacing electrolytics, etc.). It was gone over ca 1980 with new filter caps and passed a Mac clinic with flying colors a few years later. Any ideas would be very welcome! TIA Edwin -- Remove the*obvious to reply |

TIA Edwin You might consider sending to a qualitifed tech to get it checked. One should start with a properly performing piece of equipment before one makes any modifications/changes. r Good idea! Any suggestions for someone in the Boulder/Denver area? Thanks again! Edwin -- Remove the*obvious to reply |

Terry DeWicke, the McIntosh factory, Audio Classics, and me. I would probably send it to McIntosh in Binghamton for a checkup. I would precede sending it with a phone call and discuss any upgrades or modifications with one of the techs there. r -- Nothing beats the bandwidth of a station wagon filled with DLT tapes. |
