Wow, Im still laughing at the unbelievable wit and wisdom you sunk into
that reply. You put that much effort into everything you do? Man.

The process is to clean the roller ejecting the CD. Should be similar to
that of cleaning the pinch roller of any cassette deck. Getting to the
roller is the problem. I generally try to use a cleaning spray.

Sorry your original question "cost of repair" remains. never got anything
repaired
