None of these can beat classic designs such as the late Hartsfields or
upgraded Klipsch klassic horns or newer efforts like Edgarhorns. I am
not a fan of single driver systems but if enough cabinet gain is
realizable and newer materials are brought to bear it can apparently be
a lot better than the usually **** poor systems people tend to build
around Lowthers. I haven't heard J.Low yet, perhaps if I get to Reno
for the air races and to do the MM thing (Mia's in Dayton...) Mr. Pass
will let me listen to his.

I can tell you what doesn't work and that is to put a Lowther in a
bass reflex monkey coffin.
