Default Sherwood RD 6118R - Surround Channels Stuck on 100% Volume

Hi,

Does anyone know how to reset a Sherwood RD 6118R AV Receiver?
Recently the surround channels have gone to 100% volume at all times
(except when muted), regardless of what the master volume is. Front
and centre are OK. Same behaviour in Dolby Digital and Pro Logic
modes.

Any help appreciated.

"Reset" seems optimistic. "Repair" seems more likely.
If it were a matter of "resetting", you could at least pull
the power plug for a few minutes to set everything back
to default, etc.

Note that there are newsgroups which specialize in repair
issues. Notably: news:sci.electronics.repair
