Alpine CDM-9807RB

I'm planning to buy the Alpine CDM-9807RB soon and was wondering if it was a good buy.
Does anyone else have this CD player? What are it's good and bad points?

I'm planning to buy it from my local Halfords as they fit it for free.
Is it worth getting them to also fit new speakers, or stick with the standard speakers I already have?
