Hi, I'm looking for an amplifier or something similar/complement with 2 inputs.. one input is for music and the other input is for "advices"... kind of wallmart stores, when I give an advice, the music is stopped...

What should I look for in the amplifier, or what do I need to buy?

You probably don't want the music to stop, but rather drop way down in
level while you're talking over it. That function is called "ducking"
(the music ducks behind the voice). You might find it built in to some
commercial PA (as in Public Address, not a band's sound system)
amplifier but most likely you'll need to cobble something up with a
compressor, or find a good system engineer to put it together for you.

You want an mixer/amplifier with a priority input. All of the installed
sound companies make them from Speco and Bogen on the low end on up to Ashly
and Peavey Architectural Acoustics on the higher side.

'Ducking' is pretty standard on amplifiers aimed at such applications,
but check the specs.. Common as heck. TOA is one manufacturer of many.
You need to check what sort of output you need -100v/70v line, or low-Z
such as 4 or 8 Ohms. Some have both output types.

However for this application, most are mono amps, though they often have
summed stereo inputs for background music.

You might go for a separate mixer that does that and use your existing
setup.

I agree with Scott, Bogen is a big name in PA amplifiers.

They make a microphone accessory for juke boxes and background music
systems. It will lower the music volume and allow you to use the mic
for paging and such. Speak with sound distribution or background music
companies
