Default Nuendo 2.0, Kontakt, and Echo Mona

Ok,

So I'm trying to run Kontakt as a VST instrument inside Nuendo 2.0,
and I'm using an Echo mona card. Any time I trigger a sample like
this, I get a loud buzzing sound, which won't end until I close the
project I'm working on in Nuendo. however, if I close nuendo entirely
and run Kontakt as a standalone program, the samples trigger just
fine.

So, my first question is, has this every happened to anyone, and if
so, what was the problem? I've tried adjusting buffer setting to no
avail, sample rates match across the board. . .

I know echo uses WDM drivers and Nuendo uses ASIO, could this be the
problem. . . or when I use two programs utilizing ASIO, it could
compund the problem?

For as little as I like the mona, I relaly don't want toreplace it
right now. I need to finish a few things up befor eI lwant to spend
any money, but if it's my only option. . bah

Thanks for your help

-Chris
