I think they were made specifically for audioquest and were not made under any
other name.

I used to own the AQ 7000, great cartridge, very specially made for AQ in
Japan I believe by Scantek. Very expensive new, $2500-$2700 back in late
eighties. Worth finding a used one and having it retipped by VdH who can
make it even better. Low output at .3mV, I found the only phono pre that
really worked with it was a Pass Ono with its high MC gain.
