I what advantages do oval speakers have over round speakers and vice versa,

round speakers sound better then oval.

6x9 will probbly go louder becasue it is bigger...but it will distort
before the 6" does

6" might cost more

6x9 offers a wide range of choices example 2way,3way

6" can offer a good oppurtunity to use compent

6x9 will probbly go louder becasue it is bigger...



It will play louder because the woofer has about the same cone area as an 8"
woofer.

but it will distort
before the 6" does

these guys have the idea. 6X9s have more cone area, but because of th
shape and usualy the suspension system, at higher volume levels yo
should expect more distortion. But it depends on design.

Personaly, i think 6X9s do great! had 2 Kicker free-airs in a porte
box, sounded like a decent single 10" sub
